The typical motto: New Year, New Me!
But I choose a different one this year: New Year, Same Me!
Now some of you may think, well Liz, that isn’t very introspective of you but, on the contrary, it is after much reflection that I had this realization.
I think, in some ways, it is easier for me to say “start new and enjoy that beautiful feeling of a clean, crisp, brand-new year, new me”
… but I don’t know…
what if I don’t want to lose some of myself from 2023?
I kinda like that scar I got when I fell down (figuratively for those worriers out there), not because of the mistake of falling (that was embarrassing) but because what I learned as I got back up was worth remembering. Or what about that smile wrinkle that got accentuated? I don’t mind that one bit because it appeared with a feeling of accomplishment that I worked so very hard for.
So, this year, I’m not sure I want my new year to be a blank slate as much as I want it to be a new chapter, the next phase, a new opportunity to learn and grow. I am sure it comes with the possibly of falling down again but, more importantly, that means opportunity to get back up.
Want to join me on this journey? I look forward to working with you in 2024!
What are you most excited for?

Same Me
Bigger Purpose
Better Focus”
