Desde el principio, desde el sonido de mi alarma golpeando contra las paredes de la oscuridad, vaci\u00e9 el d\u00eda de cualquier potencial abrumador. No pude evitarlo. Los paneles divididos de vidrio de la ventana ofrec\u00edan una barrera transparente para lo h\u00famedo y lo gris y opt\u00e9 f\u00e1cilmente por permitir que la empapamiento borrara la expectativa de que algo sucediera. Es un d\u00eda en que la propia compa\u00f1\u00eda dulce hace de la soledad un placer culpable. Y soy muy, muy culpable.<\/span><\/p>\n

Esto es lo que not\u00e9. Con un l\u00edmite para mi vida exterior hoy, las distracciones se convirtieron en detalles interiores. La l\u00e1mpara de vidrio en el escritorio de cerezo tira del rico rojo de la madera a trav\u00e9s de su base prism\u00e1tica. La cinta de azul hada, ondulando a trav\u00e9s de la alfombra de la sala de estar, que una vez me preocup\u00e9 por combinar con otras telas, es ahora el colaborador central para el resto de la habitaci\u00f3n. Las pantallas de l\u00e1mparas en miniatura, silenciando perfectamente la potencia de las bombillas de la l\u00e1mpara de ara\u00f1a, cambian la luz a un gris suave a medida que pasa a trav\u00e9s del material. Mi mente errante no puede evitar querer involucrarse metaf\u00f3ricamente con una sabidur\u00eda m\u00e1s profunda sobre esto. Algo sobre nuestra capacidad como humanos para identificar lo que podemos construir para nosotros mismos, cada uno de nosotros, para crear l\u00edmites y seguridad. Una capacidad para definirnos como nuestros propios contenedores seguros, nuestra propia fortaleza, tal vez. Que podemos optar por crear una sensaci\u00f3n de seguridad interna y belleza, base y marco para enriquecer nuestro propio interior con deleite y belleza. Que podemos optar por la paz y la dulce compa\u00f1\u00eda de la soledad en d\u00edas empapados y esponjosos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sin duda, no siempre estamos a la altura de las circunstancias; a veces es demasiado dif\u00edcil contener lo que observamos a trav\u00e9s de los cristales de las ventanas.
